I am informed that the Carolina Light and Power Company, Yadkin River Power Company, Carolina Gas and Electric Company, and Palmetto Power and Light Company are jointly interested in the construction of an electric transmission system interconnecting their existing transmission systems with the new Hydro Electric plant of the Wateree Power Company on the Wateree River. This plant is now nearing completion, and I understand that the above named companies are making application to you for approval of the work.

I most heartily endorse this application and earnestly urge its immediate approval. In my opinion the work outlined in this application is not only justified but the prosecution and completion of this development is absolutely necessary at this time to the industrial progress of a large section.
